Woodlands Health Campus, Tower E, Level 1 Auditorium
The partnership between the Singapore Symphony Group (SSG) and Woodlands Health (WHC) emerged from a shared belief in the power of music to reach communities in meaningful ways. Unlike previous outreach efforts, this initiative marked SSG’s first public performance in a community healthcare setting. Recognising the growing importance of mental wellbeing, the performances seek to incorporate elements of Social-Emotional Learning, inviting audiences to reflect, recognise, and process their emotions through music. Much like most of SSG’s family concerts, WHC’s performance repertoire is designed with accessibility in mind — easy-listening and friendly entryway into classical music. Musicians help curate familiar works that will resonate, offering audiences a semblance of the concert-going experience while remaining sensitive to the setting. Through this partnership, the SSG hopes to find musical synergy with new communities.
