Singapore-based artist Xin Xiaochang (b. 1982) works at the intersection of art and design - mixing ceramics with sculpture, installation, and finely crafted media to create works that are as conceptually rich as they are materially precise. Exhibited widely across local and international stages, her work is held in private and corporate collections around the world.
What if patients helped shape the spaces they live in? Shared Spaces, Shared Futures, led by Xin Xiaochang in partnership with Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital, does exactly that - bringing together patients, caregivers, healthcare workers, and young people to co-design a dementia ward through creative workshops, memory-based storytelling, and participatory design. The result: care environments that are more responsive, inclusive, and deeply human.
