Healing Arts with EQUAL's Horses

Step into a world where art and equine connection meet. Healing Art with EQUAL’s Therapy Horses is a unique, interactive experience inviting participants to explore creativity, mindfulness, and emotional well-being in the calming presence of therapy horses. Set in EQUAL’s serene stable environment, the event provides a safe and supportive space for reflection, healing, and self-expression.

Participants will begin with a stable tour to meet EQUAL’s therapy horses, then choose from a range of meaningful activities:

Paint-A-Horseshoe – Using real retired horseshoes, visitors paint and decorate them with affirmations, colours, and patterns that symbolise hope and strength.

Hoofprint Expressions – Each guest receives a canvas featuring a gentle hoof print prepared with non-toxic paint. Participants bring it to life through colours and words that express gratitude, resilience, and emotion.

Poetry in Motion – Sitting by the stables, participants are invited to pen short poems inspired by the horses’ quiet strength, grace, and companionship.

At EQUAL, we believe every brush stroke, line of poetry, and hoof print holds the power to nurture resilience and calm. Our therapy horses have supported children, youth, and seniors in their journeys toward confidence, connection, and inclusion.
