Every Knot a Memory, Every Thread a Vein: A Community Art Project by Adeline Loo with NTUC Health Active Ageing Centre (Bukit Panjang) and contributions from patients, staff and the community

What happens when colourful yarns, nimble hands, and a spark of imagination come together? A joyful two-part tapestry installation emerges—woven from over 180 metres of knotted ropes and yarn, handcrafted by the community, staff, and patients. These artworks are the result of a meditative, repetitive act that celebrates the therapeutic power of play and the quiet strength of self-expression. Each knot is more than a loop of thread; it is a moment, a memory—woven into a larger story of connection, care, and colour.
